Two of our current major projects are the Happy Helper program and the Life’s Toolbox anthologies.
The Happy Helper program started with the publication of Sandra Joy’s seven children’s books about helping. Although the books aren’t released until 17 January 2023, readings and activities are happening already and are booked for next year for preschools and childcare centres. The program includes:
- Reading of one or two of the books
- The Happy Helper song and poem
- A game and / or craft activity relevant to the theme or content of the book/s
- Interactive lessons on the content and theme
- A colouring competition.
The Life’s Toolbox anthologies was inspired by seeing the expression on first-time published authors as they received their first work in print. Kani Consultants wants to see this more often and so the anthologies started. While we do not exclude established authors, excitement is the key. Free copies help with that.
Launched in sets of three, the first three cover the themes of Firsts, Pets and Pests, and Silent Train Wrecks. Each of the anthologies has a different theme, but the overarching purpose of the stories in the anthologies is to share life’s experiences that have given writers the tools to encourage, help, teach or humour readers. We want to share stories so readers have a better day, know they are not alone, and have the tools to help themselves and others.
It’s probably a good time to remind you of the slogan at Kani Consultants, helping words matter.
Using words, we aim to help, motivate, and inspire.
